Agreements

Over the past five years, DICEA has been consistently engaged in third-party collaborations with public institutions, organizations, and national and international companies, providing highly qualified services in the fields of civil engineering, architecture, and the built heritage.

Among the service areas offered, DICEA has carried out:

  • digitalization and 3D surveying of historic buildings and architectural heritage, using photogrammetric and laser-scanning methods to support restoration, conservation, enhancement, and museum projects;
  • structural modelling, analysis, and design, including work in seismic contexts or on complex infrastructures, encompassing static and seismic rehabilitation, static and dynamic testing, monitoring, and technical assessments;
  • design and experimentation in the field of digital twins, namely the creation of advanced information models for buildings, infrastructures, and built environments, integrated with real-time sensing and monitoring systems;
  • technical and scientific consultancy on construction materials, structural diagnostics, experimental characterization, and the analysis of building systems, with the support of the Department’s laboratories.

The fact that these activities have been commissioned by a wide range of clients demonstrates DICEA’s ability to translate academic and research expertise into concrete and valuable services for the community at regional, national, and international levels.

From an economic and managerial perspective, over the past five years the Department has maintained an average annual turnover between € 1 and € 1.5 million, a figure that highlights the importance of third-party services in its overall budget and represents a strong bridge between research, application, and society.

Thanks to this approach, DICEA has strengthened its role not only as a centre of excellence in research and teaching, but also as an active and reliable partner in the transfer of knowledge and technologies – contributing concretely to the development, protection, and enhancement of the built and infrastructural heritage and establishing long-lasting collaborations with companies and institutions in diverse contexts.
