Structural Dynamics Laboratory

LADIS

LADIS (LAboratorio di DInamica Strutturale, in italian) is the Structural Dynamics Laboratory of the Structural Mechanics Group. We study and develop systems that move, for a better comprehension of their physical properties and to apply them for future innovations. The research focuses on the study of civil and mechanical structures, aiming to make proper use of nonlinearities and develop new techniques in structural dynamics.

Activities

Experimental characterization of vibrating structures for system parameter identification. Investigation of impacting systems, rare attractors, and the global and local dynamics of nonlinear dynamical systems.

Projects

Identification of hybrid dynamic systems
Investigation of isolated dynamical regimes
Structural health monitoring test
