Technology enhanced Architectural Design learning and design studies share the effort of understanding situated design processes, so that models of design and systems for design learning can be defined. The objective of this research is to develop a set of requirements for advanced design learning environments. The research objective involves the analysis of a number of students’ design review sessions in regular university classrooms, in order to point out the relationships occurring between the different forms of the designers’ cognitive involvement (conceptual, visual, social, emotional etc.) in design.
